Background

The history began with David Williams who was a 1700s welsh immigrant from Wales England. He migrated to the West Florida region (which in the 1700s included Florida, parts of present day Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana)

David initially received several thousand acres of property at the Council of West Florida in Pensacola in the 1760s. (link) Over 11,000 acres were acquired during the Spanish Empires during of Florida.

These properties (increased at its peak to over 1 million acres of real estate, timberland, other holdings in 6 states) have been passed through 9 generation to David Williams heirs. (link) 

Archie P. Williams of Natchez was a great grandson of David and a free person of color in the era of slavery and an heir. He inherited from the David Williams Trust and expanded the family business operations to include energy.

Archie J. Williams of Natchez, the grandson of Archie P. Williams expanded real estate, timber and energy holdings for himself and his children.

Today, the majority owner of the Williams Holdings is the Anton R. Williams of Grand Rapids MI, Kalamazoo MI and Tampa FL. He is the great grandson of Archie J. Williams. The founder is also the incorporator of the Anton R. Williams Foundation in Grand Rapids MI, which is a designed to receive self funded resources and give them for civic causes. The Anton R. Williams Holding Company of Grand Rapids Michigan/ Kalamazoo MI and was originated in 2016. The holding company runs its operations by combining high technology, advance analytics and best practices from real estate, timber, energy and financial derivatives trading. Anton is also the founder of GMNF Global Missions Society.
